What is the tool?
A decision nudging tool for the uptake of urban NbS. The tool has six critical climate issues and 20 Nature-based Solutions (NbS) under them. The tool is building up on the primary solutions and other use cases impacting local natural resources. The primary solutions include brief descriptions, along with guidance to inform decisions for climate adaptation and mitigation strategies.

The tool aims to facilitate and encourage decision-makers in cities to embrace Nature based Solutions (NbS) for building climate resilience. These solutions need to be adapted to the site-context under the guidance of city and biodiversity experts. After identifying city's key climate challenge, and preferred approach of implementation, the tool provides curated list of NbS to choose from. Exploring each solution offers guidance on the rationale of adoption, steps of initiation, and associated operation and management practices. It also presents best practices that informs possible ways to envision and implement the solutions in your city. Please not the solutions are only indicative and not prescriptive.
